PARISIAN CLOSET CAPSULE

For FW16, ELLE magnified the Parisian Closet in a special collection, designed by Tamara Taichman.

The Parisian style is a blend of elegance, audacity and nonchalance.

This winter, ELLE worked exclusively with Tamara Taichman, fashion editor for ELLE magazine Paris, to create the perfect “Masculine-Feminine” wardrobe.  The style so characteristic of ELLE originated in Paris.

In the 1920s, Coco Chanel redefined femininity when she invented the “flapper” style.

In the 1960s, Yves Saint Laurent revisited masculine pieces in a feminine way.

ELLE commended, followed and encouraged this trend.

Our style tips: break away from strict conventions with a white T-shirt and sneakers. Or wear “classic” pieces in a new way, such as a camel coat or trench coat, with exquisite femininity or insouciance.
